Recipe of the Month: Symphony Brownies

Boxed Brownies with Symphony bar middle

You may be thinking, a recipe calling to just buy pre-made boxed ingredients?  I know… and if you’d rather use your own home made brownie recipe, they would probably be even better.  Having said that, when you just don’t have a lot of time but you want to impress your guests, these are seriously a must!

Literally all you need to do is buy a box of brownies like the one pictured, fudge or milk chocolate both work, and mix the ingredients that the box recommends into a bowl.  Pour half the mixture into a greased 9x13 pan (it will seem like very little batter), place 3 large Symphony bars across the pan (don’t break the bars up), and pour the remaining batter over top.

You may want to error on the longer cooking time to make sure the candy bars cook through.

Every time I bring these to a gathering, people can’t believe that these are just a box recipe with a candy bar added.  If you try these out, send me an email and let me know what people say about them!
